As a school governor and a member of independent exclusion review panels I can say with confidence that the school will ignore any 'demands' from the parents of the other child that your son is permanently excluded (expelled). What the other parent wants is irrelevant to what the school decides to do in relation to your son because of the incident.
If the other parent decides not to send their child to school that is up to them and they will be held accountable for their child's non-attendance. Not your problem. All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

If who does what? The other parent tells the school they want your son excluded? No you wouldn't have legal redress. What would any legal redress be for? You wouldn't have been disadvantaged by their demands to the school. All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

And how would you prove that?
If you had evidence the school had taken irrelevant matters into account eg the other parent's threats to keep their child out of school, you would first put that argument to the school's governors then to an an Independent Review Panel and then in theory you could seek a Judicial Review against the school. If you had the thousands of pounds that would cost you and actual evidence.
But at no point could you seek legal redress against the parents of the other child. They are entitled to say what they have said. It is the school's responsibility to decide if what parents say is relevant when deciding what action to take and ignore it if it isn't.All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience.
