  • Court Claim - SKy Garden / Nil - 9-11-2015

    Received a claim? Yes
    Issue Date: 9-11-2015
    Amount approx: 4553
    Claimant: Private company
    Solicitor: Connells Associated solicitiors
    Original Credit: Nil

    Particulars of Claim:
In July 2014 one of our drivers had a bump with a another companys vehicle ... Particulars all went to our comprehensive fleet insurers - forms filled out etc ... rumbles on - no news .
8th October 2015 we receive ' intention to prosecute ' notice which we forwarded to our insurers .
Today we get a CCJ letter .
Contact ERS the insurers - arms waving - very sorry it got to this - they don't know how etc etc .. They will pay it tomorrow

BIG question - Will we now have a CCJ attached to our records at Company House or any other significant register that may cause us harm somewhere ?
If so - is there any way at all of appealing it and getting it removed as it is an insurers oversight , rather than our fault as we directed all correspondence to them on the same day as received it.
Many thanks in advance for any advice - we are a family business who have a perfect credit rating
