dvla court summons failure to insure. Need HELP!!!

Hi there

received a failure to insure summons from DVLA. First letter i got said car must be insured/sorn or sold by 29/11/13/

I sold car on ebay on 28/11/13 but car collected and v5 sent to dvla on 02/12/13.

Received a failure to insure summons from DVLA today for Magistrates Court.

what can i do?

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
