  • MPWin v Lowell Vodafone CCJ set aside?

    Hi,

reading through the site and my CCJ situation is slightly different.

I moved outside of the UK around three years ago and when I moved I gave a forwarding address.
I am now looking to move back to the UK and 4 weeks ago I looked at my credit file as I will need to rent a property.

When checking I could see I had a CCJ so I phoned the court and found out it was through Lowell and was connected to a Vodafone contract and even though I paid all the monthly bills when I moved this was payment for ending the contract early.

I have no issue with the money owed to Vodafone and paid this as I probably did break some contract clause, but all the letters were sent to my old address and Lowell told me they did not send the first letter to that address until 18 months after I had moved out.

I have paid the total owed on my first contact with Lowell but can I get the CCJ removed from my credit file completely or would I be wasting my money?

    Any help appreciated
