  • Letter before claim - Lowell Solicitors/Vanquis

Hi all. I was hoping for some advice. I took out a credit card with Vanquis in 2013. I never used it much then they increased my credit limit to £2000, I had recently lost my job and my child died so I lost touch with reality, sunk into deep depression and maxed it out in September 2015 and couldn’t afford to repay it so it was passed on to Lowell’s. I have now received a letter before claim from them which a quick google search showed it shouldn’t be ignored much longer and led me to this site. Included in the letter is a brief background to the debt. Current balance of debt is £2396.50 which is a lot of money to me. Can anyone give me any advice of what to do now please? Am I current in thinking I ask for more information from them? If so what information should I ask for? Many thanks.
