  • Need advice: Parking company admitted my PCNs were cancelled but I still got a CCJ

Hi, does anyone know any solicitors that could help with a number of PCNs from Smart Parking?

I received a number of PCNs after parking in my partner’s space at his rented property in 2024. We contacted the letting agent and they agreed to cancel them and they received confirmation from Smart Parking that they had been.

In December 2025, shortly after the birth of my son, I received an alert on my credit report that I had been given a CCJ. I hadn’t received it as they sent it to a property I’d sold 12 months previously. I submitted an N244 form in January which is still ongoing. I then found out that they had two other claims going against me with DCB legal and Gladstones Solicitors. I sent an official complaint to Smart Parking attaching the emails saying the PCNs had been cancelled but they didn’t acknowledge them. I then submitted an SAR to request the cancellation emails from their side and see what data they had about me but what came back was incomplete.

I’ve had to go to mediation for two of the additional claims and they have both been unsuccessful and they just argue on the basis that the signage was clear even though that’s not really the argument.

I work in a regulated industry and have recently had a job offer withdrawn because I have a CCJ.
