  • CCJ interest

    Hello

I had a CCJ issued against me in 2020 for £6000.
After a failed appeal, the judge agreed I could repay in monthly instalments, which I have done every month.
I now believe I have paid off the claim amount, however I’m unsure on the interest element.
The original claim form doesn’t mention interest, although the court correspondence states fees plus interest due.

If interest in due, how would this be calculated? Is it 8% on the full amount annually or should it be calculated monthly and take into account the repayments?

I’ve also read conflicting info that interest doesn’t apply when paying in instalments and I should also receive 6 monthly statements showing the amount outstanding (I haven’t).

can anyone offer any insight please?

    thank you
