    Hello,

We have an ongoing claim for medical negligence that has been running for a few years now. We would hopefully like to settle before trial, as i hope the defendants would too. there are now a few defendants, since the original defendant bought in more under part 20 to pay towards any damages. i have mentioned to the solicitor that we wouldnt want to drag this on for many more years at all and hopefully get it settled as soon as possible. i am assuming our side will make a part 36 after disclosure if the defence doesnt first.

is there a way i can tell my solicitors to start negotiation and settlement by putting in a part 36 offer. we just dont want them to turn on us and say were not following advice

any insight would be greatly appreciated
