  • N271 Received but no Directions Questionnaire or Notice included - is this normal?

Good afternoon, I am hoping someone can advise.

I submitted my defence and counterclaim to a claim made against me by a builder this week and have received today a N271 Notice of Transfer of Proceedings.

The case is being transferred to my local court as it is for a specified amount and I am an individual (claimant is a Ltd company).

The N271 makes mention that I need to complete a Directions Questionnaire as per the enclosed notice but there was nothing included with the N271 at all, it was just a single sheet of paper. There was no notice enclosed and no Directions Questionnaire either.

Is it a case that the court that the case has been transferred to will send these in due course and that the paperwork from CCBC doesn't cover different eventualities?

I have tried calling CCBC but they can't help and the local court is working on very much reduced hours at present so I can't call them until tomorrow.

I am just a bit worried about which form I have to fill in and filling it in blind if they have failed to send me the notice they refer to. I am also worried about getting it to the court and a copy to the Claimant within the deadline which I guess will be on the notice I haven't received.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
