    sueing for breach of contract. how to obtain evidence held by agent

    hi,
    I am going to sue our former landlord for two breaches of contract. 1 failing to maintain smoke detectors.(agent was informed andindeed noted they were not working but never did anything for 5 years.) now they want me to pay. 2 not providing a service included within the tenancy agreement.

    I need to request the agents inspection notices to highlight they new the smoke alarms were inoperative. how to I obtain these. the agents are not in a cooperative mood.
