  • Help! County Court Claim Form

Hi, today I received a claim form from northampton courts.
It says the claimant is Lowell Solicitors.
Firstly the letter is in my name but with a letter missing which I find and then a list of debts which i do not reconise apart from one and i have checked my credit file and all but the one I recognize are not on my credit report. I do recognize one debt which is a 3G mobile one for £63.00 which was my ex partners that I stupidly took out in my name and when we split up he cancelled the direct debit. As for the other debts which include express gifts limited, shop direct finance and JD Williams I do not recognize. It says the account claimed balance is £383.33 with court fees and legal representatives costs £468.33. Which I refuse to pay as I have no knowledge of the other debts I am happy to pay the £63 owed to 3G even though it was not my debt in the first place. I find it strange the letter has come with my name mis spelt.
I would also like to mention that have I have never received anything in the post from this company Lowell until this letter from the courts today. I received letters from 3G many years ago but then it went quiet. I have lived at my address for 13 years. Please can anyone help how to resolve this issue as I don’t know what to do. If the other debts listed were mine I would just pay the full amount because I want to get a mortgage and defiantly do not want a ccj on my name over a small debt but I genuinely have no knowledge of the others.
