    YES, YES, YES
The only papers you never ignore are genuine court papers (and you won't see any of those over this incident0

Ask them for written proof, showing where the debt is from and remove all ID.
Then post it on here for these geniuses to look at, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING until these guys know what's happening.

Don't let them in, if need be call the police and ask for them to be removed.

Has there been a court case that you ignored? If not then they cannot be bailiffs as there can be no judgement against you. Get the name of the company that employs them and then complain tomthe police and write to the company removing permission for them to come to the premises

If they were bailiffs they should have given notice of their intention to call (notice of enforcement)

These were debt collectors and should be ignored.
When you have done as ostell, if they call again, phone the police and tell them there is likely to be a breach of the peace and could they attend ASAP.
Tell the debt collectors to leave the property, and if they delay or refuse they are trespassers and in breach of Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994

Check here to see if there is a CCJ registered against you: https://www.trustonline.org.uk/index...earch-yourself (cost £6)
Or search your credit record at noddle.co.uk for free

No CCJ = no court = they were bluffing
