  • Foolish shoplifter

Hi all, I wonder if anyone would know the answer to my foolish dilemma?

me and my friend ( she's wheelchair bound) were caught shoplifting in a town near us. We are mortified and very remorseful. I need to know if they would pass our photos off cctv for instance to say m and s in another town? We stole from debenhams and m and s but debenhams caught us. Would they pass info, photos etc to m and s? The reason I ask is I do not want to be asked to leave a store I would be mortified. I am so depressed at just how stupid I have been. I am severely depressed and don't need anymore hassle.

    Many thanks

    Hi Fishmonger

I don't know about the two outfits you mentioned, but Iceland say they circulate in the district concerned "private circulation of images of convicted thieves and those who have been caught in the act of shoplifting by our CCTV cameras"
Note, that to keep within the law it is only images of those convicted in court or who have been caught on CCTV.

Can you give us more details of the circumstances?

Your biggest problem I anticipate will be a series of letters from some self styled Civil Recovery firm?
