DWF Letter Sainsburys

Hi there

About 3 weeks ago I was ashamedly caught shoplifting. The total value was about £14, which I returned before I was able to leave the store. I didn't have my ID on me, but they asked for my name and address, which I gave. I was given the letter informing me of my banning of all Sainsburys and Argos nationwide, and didn't expect much more.

However I have been away for 2 weeks and returned to find a letter from DWF stating I owe £200 for security costs. I have missed the window of '14 days' which they gave, as I was away, so cannot even pay it now. I am also moving house next week, and I am assuming that I can just ignore this, as they wont have my new address, unless the post is forwarded.

Here is the letter. Im not sure how they usually look, and if this is what they usually demand.

Any advise? Thank you

Ignore read other posts on here and you will see that this muppet firm are owed nothing by you,plenty of other letters may come only act if a summons to county court comes unlikely to happen

This is standard behaviour from DWF. £200 is always the number they pluck out of the air as the contribution to security costs they allege you owe, but you don't owe it. Sainsburys got their goods back so have lost nothing. As advised in post above ignore them Read advice given on other threads.
