  • banning letter received for being caught in shop

Hi, just posting to ask about a recent thing happened, was caught in waitrose for not paying for some items. Was given a lifetime banning letter and got photo taken, they were saying the police will start to arrest me if im ever gonna go into any waitrose shop. The items were returned. Cant remember exactly but they said there will be a letter (?) and some fine(?)

I am not originally from UK so, would that affect anything for planning to stay longer in this country and now being as a student?

I'll never shop in there, please can anyone advise what I should do now.

Thanks ever so much in advance.

      Hi BLACK9876

      Welcome to LB

It is very unlikely the police will waste their 'valuable' time on investigating an alleged theft where nothing was taken.
You may receive a 'speculative' invoice with no 'breakdown', ignore them, you may receive 3 / 4, ignore them.
If you are struggling, there is help out there.
