  • Rlp letter received 2024

I’ve read numerous threads but non which date 2024 so wanted to make sure your advice to ignore the letters is still up to date.

I impatiently stole a mug (value of £15) because my parking was running out and I didn’t want to queue … ****ing stupid!

I got caught and taken into the back rooms of the store and recorded. They took my details and I have just received a letter from RLP for a £175 fine? It seems like a standard letter but have attached for reference.

It would be great if you can please give me advice on whether this should or shouldn’t be ignored.

Look forward to hearing from you!

I would ignore it, but your choice.
Did you avoid the parking charge?

What you've received is a 'speculative' invoice, there is no breakdown of actual costs. Any costs i.e. security etc, would be part of their business plan, so would be budgeted for. So what / where is the loss?
