  • Shoplifting at M&S and given the wrong address

    I was caught shoplifting at M&S and I gave all the information correct except my houses number
    what if they send me a letter for civil recovery fee and and don’t receive the letter
    what’s gonna happen

    Probably nothing will happen, but you will just have to wait and see.

      If they send a letter to your neighbour's address you have only yourself to blame.

      You could speak to your neighbour, explaining that someone wrote your address down incorrectly, and would they please let you know if they receive anything addressed to you.

          nor that they know me

            Walk round there. Knock on the door. Introduce yourself.

            Or don't and take your chances as to what happens.

                This has been covered here hundreds of times. Basically, you can ignore any letters. Use the search function.

                    And pls advice just in case there is no way I can get to my neighbours and sought the letters

                      Unlikely

                      If your "neighbours" just bin the letters nothing will happen.
                      If they return the letters to the sender, the sender doesn't have your address so is unlikely to do anything.
                      Sure. they could employ a tracing agent, but that will cost them and so unlikely.

                      Cease worrying unless & until you receive some correspondence ..... or do as ATTICUS suggested
