  • DWF letter regarding ****** refund.

Hi, I have received a letter from dwf previously in which they claimed ****** did not recieve my return order, so I emailed them the confirmation from ****** saying they had recieved it. But I have gotten a 2nd letter saying it was returned back to ne but it wasn't.

They claim I need to pay by November 2nd or they will seek ******' instruction to start court proceedings against me, making a claim for recovery of a payment made under mistake without further notice to me.

Should I send dwf another email with the confirmation from ****** that they recieved it and dispute this?

    Thanks

You have proof of them receiving it.
Do they have proof of the return to you?

That would be a good idea.

On other forums and websites I've seen people say to just ignore them, I was thinking about phoning them up but worry that that may make them pursue it more.

It is for you to decide which anonymous guys on the internet you prefer to follow.

But I would not telephone. If you are going to communicate, do so in writing.

can dwf actually do anything. ive read they are a powerless company and are just sending these letters as threats.

DWF is a large law firm. If their client instructs, they can commence legal action on their behalf. Whether their client will wish them to follow through is another question, but why not communicate to DWF reasons why their client might not wish to take that step?

Emailed them and they replied saying,
"The email confirming that ****** received the items were automated and sent out before they received any goods.

From the tracking from Royal mail , the goods never reached ****** warehouse they was refused at Reading East DO and returned to sender.

Due to ****** refunding you and not receiving the goods they are within their legal right to demand a full repayment."

Even though nothing was returned to me and the tracking wasn't updated until January and this was sent in October!

Really not sure what to do now.

Hi CraigCc can I ask that, although it is great you are anonymising personal information, can you not do this with [star sign] as our sensitive spam filter requires such posts to be approved by the admin team which unfortunately slows down your post being published. Instead, can I suggest you use aaa or bbb.
