  • Will RLP be in touch?

I was in a store and was stopped by a store detective on my way out for an item in my bag which I had picked up before going to click and collect (for a different pre paid item ). I said I had forgot to pay and they were nice and said just go back and pay which I did as was a genuine mistake. They didn’t take my name, I didn’t sign anything I wasn’t detained. It all happened in seconds but when I got home I started to worry.

My worry is they have my details as a click and collect customer and will pass this on to RLP. Is this likely?

No you won't receive anything, they asked you to pay, which you did. You have a receipt to show payment.
You are stressing yourself for nothing.

Just to add, what RLP send are speculative invoices, no breakdown of costs. They've been challenged on this.

Thanks. I’m just worried they would try as the guard has had to stop me. Feel so stupid has so much in my hands at the time. Lucky he was kind to me

Thanks appreciate the advice. My partner just asked would they not ask click and collect dept for details? He’s angry at me for being forgetful and paranoid from reading threads about how some peopl been treated (although it looks like I was lucky)

If anything happens, update the thread. You've paid for the item, so that's going nowhere.
