Hi all,

i recieved a letter from DWF asking me to pay £125 security fee. I see the advice is to ignore but I am worried. Any advice?

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Sounds worse than it is. Not that they do but don't ignore any letters from the Court. Were the Police involved at all? Did the retailer get their goods back?

No, no police were involved and yes they did. It was honestly a stupid mistake and the security man was very nice. Not sure whether to just ring and pay it as I don’t want anymore trouble but it was all resolved at the time so not sure why they want £125

The shop won't see a penny of the money, the other lot will use it towards their Xmas party. You may get 3 or 4 letters from them over a few months - some containing threats others where they get their red crayons out. Last time these companies tried Court they got well & truly spanked and they have never tried again.
