Ok, I have finally spoken to my solicitor and he has told me the same ie not to worry, hardly crime of the century etc.

We have a meeting next week, and my husband too. He is suggesting that I plead NOT GUILTY. He says that because I did not plan or had no awareness when I was actually doing the crime, I should be given the opportunity to explain in court.

Gulp - I'm a bit worried now. What does anyone think of this advice?

His advice is good depending on what was said in your Police interview. It would be pointless pleading not guilty if you admitted in interview that you knew what you were doing. If on the other hand what you said in your original post was also said in the interview that you have no recollection of the events, then a not guilty plea could be the way to go. The Solicitor knows the situation and I personally would listen to him/her.

Not knowing exactly what was said at the police interview (did you sign a written statement? do you have a copy of it?) it is difficult to advise other than to follow your solicitor's advice.
Regardless it is a very minor incident and not worth stressing over.
