When my partner met up with me we carried walking around doing our shopping. After we had finishing shopping we went to the check out and paid for our shopping on our way out i was stopped by a security woman and asked did i forget to pay for anything i said let me check and i could not notice anything unusual in the trolley she then said is there anything in the pram and thats when i remembered the make up and i froze and apologised and told her i would pay for it. The security woman did not want to listen to a word i had to say and asked i go with her and i said for what i made a genuine mistake she asked again then took me by the arm and we went to a room in the back of a store while my partner waited with our son. I got into the room and was told i had stolen the make up and that i would be banned from tesco stores for 6 month and the police will not come because it's the first time it has happened to me. I said to the lady is this a joke your treating me like a theif because i made a genuine mistake she would not listen to anything she took my tesco club card my name and address and the make up and said for me to expect a letter in the post. I am totally stressed and worried now because i now have this letter telling me i need to pay £4 for the make up and £125 fine im so pissed of with Tesco they are always talking there all about customers and this is how they treat a customer who has been shopping there for 11 years. I made one genuine mistake i did not try to steal anything i left the item on top of my son's pram it's not like i tried to hide it by putting it in my pocket or under the pram. I work for a living pay my bills and try to do the best for my son not go around stealing from places like tesco. Any help on how to deal with this would be nice as i have now recieved a second letter telling me i need to pay them.
    Hello, welcome to LB

Which bunch of ruffians has written to you RLP? If so I would not be too concerned, there will be others with experience of dealing with this along to help you.

Hi i recieved a letter from DWF on behalf of Tesco saying i owe them £125 security cost's and £4 for an item i forgot to pay for. I made a mistake of forgetting to pay for one item when i done my shopping and i am being treated as a thief. I have seen on a few forum's people have recieved simular letter's with the same problem except they only have £125 for security cost's and £0.00 for the item they forgot to pay for. Why have i been asked to pay a fine and the cost of the item when they took the item of me. I even offered to pay for the item as i made a genuine mistake but the security did not want to listen to anything i had to say. I have been shopping at Tesco 11 years and this is how they treat me oh and they also gave me a 6 month ban from all stores. This is a utter joke and it has left me depressed and worried. Anyone know what i should do ??????

Ignore and read other threads on RLP.
