      Well you are not going to believe this!

      Got the solicitors letter. Read like a normal solicitors letter ie you do not have a case because of x, y, z, BUT as a goodwill gesture we will offer FULL REFUND on receipt of item back which vendor will arrange for collection.

      Bearing in mind on here the advice I did not really have a case, I accepted the offer gladly.

      Tank of doom was picked up yesterday by a man and van and I got a full refund via PayPal last night.

      Result!!!

        Lucky you, and well done.
        I suspect the defendant saw a solicitor, who said I can defend the case for you, but to do so will cost you £1500 at least, which you will not recover.
        Of course if they had come to us we would have advised them how to defend it at no cost without using a solicitor:beagle2222:
