    I have a rather strange email (never any post to my residence from this company) with a name I am not familiar with, stating the following (editing ref numbers and name just in case)...


    Dear T H
    Our client, Sky, has authorised us to recover the full amount due to them as detailed below:
    Amount Due: £153.82

    Please make payment, via our website: http://www.ccscollect.co.uk/card_payment.asp, within the next seven days of the date of this email to avoid further recovery action.
    If you are unable to make full payment within seven days, please reply to this email with your offer of repayment. Alternatively, contact us on 0844 412 0344 without delay and one of our agents will be able to discuss with you a mutually agreeable repayment arrangement, based on your financial circumstances.

    This matter does now require your urgent attention and we thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation

    Not only was 'T H' actually addressed to a man (I am most definitely not one), but I have never been a customer of Sky. There was no mention of my address and have not been so silly as to call them, but have replied by email saying they should remove my email address as I have no knowledge of te person referenced or the debt. Any further advice as to what I should do?

    Frankly, if it was me, I'd be inclined to ignore the email. If it's not addressed to you, it's not intended for you.
