  • Shift Meals in work.

    Hello

I'm working in restaurant and recently shift meals rules have been changed. It use to be, that if you work double shift at least 8h you could claim your free shift meal worth up to £12.
Now they say, you have to work 10 h to get your free shift meal. Any other situation we have 50% off for whole menu.
My question is can they do it without giving a reason? Is it worth to use my free solicitor advice ?

Normally I do work 1pm -11pm and with my one hour break its 9hrs so no free shift meal.

    Thank You

What does your contract of employment say?

And is it your employment contract which governs this? Or is it some other document? e.g. employee handbook?
