  • PCP Voluntary Termination Millage

    Hi All,

I know this has come up a few times now but i'm really keen to see how people have got on with it.

I have a PCP with Peugeot FS and the agreement is due to finish in March, I.E I make the balloon payment or hand back the car.The issues is the millage, I have done 10K over, I thought the salesman put 10-12k per year down, it now appears only 6k!

Peugeot want 0.12p a mile for anything over. Now I can VT the car but they have said they will charge the millage.

It clearly says in the agreement that there is nothing more to pay on the basis that I have paid a certain amount and the car is in good condition, which it is.

Nobody can give me a yes or no answer as to whether Peugeot can sting me with this bill. 'Nothing further to pay' means to me - nothing further to pay but I will be getting myself into a legal argument with a massive finance company.

    Can anyone shed any light???

    Thanks
    Bradley

i would imagine you signed something agreeing the mileage at 6k and the penalties for going over?
If so I'm not sure why you think you have no liability for the extra costs?
My daughter has a similar deal with Fiat and the proposal was a very simple A4 form with the mileage and penalties clearly stated.

Because I wish to VT the car. A VT is your legal right and overrides the contract so I am being told. The VT section says as long as you have paid X and the car is in good condition there is nothing further to pay.
