• Football fee

Hello, can anyone help with a payment for a 6 a side football league, my 18year old grandson and friends started to play at a local school on a evening but 2 weeks ago they told the organiser that they would not be playiong again he said 2 weeks notice but if he didnt get another team to take their place they would have to pay the £35 for that night till the end of the season, my grandson has been left to pay the last 2 weeks as none of the others turned up, also He booked it, does he have to pay the rest as it is putting financial strain on his parents, he is at college but has a job in a pub but its zero contract and does not always have any money, thank you.

Hi,

Is there a written contract for the hire of the ground?

If so who signed it?

Do you have a copy of the form?
Was your son the " organiser" for the team (s).?

Re: Football fee

If there is nothing in writing in regard to notice and a penalties if another team cannot be found then there is no reason for anyone to pay the penalty.
What is on the form completed, does it contain terms and conditions?

It would help if you could post up a redacted copy of the completed form susannicola :tinysmile_grin_t:

• I agree to pay the match fee weekly for a full season. If our team leaves the league we recognise we will still be liable for the full season match fees. I understand that should I wish to withdraw the Team from the League before the start of any new season I will provide Soccersixes with 2 weeks’ notice (Termination Notice) prior to the start of the new season or be entered into the new season.

The T&Cs appear to be here http://www.soccersixes.net/site?rule

The League Entry operates on a seasonal basis with each Match attracting a fee and the pitch hire fees, if block booked, are payable for the duration of the block booking, according to them.

So, I guess we need to know exactly what your son signed up to.

He gave 2 weeks notice 3 weeks ago but him and another lad has paid the fees last 2 weeks but neither of them has the money to pay this week, i think the fees should be shared between all the lads on the team but they have ignored texts from my grandson
