Ebay taking money without notification

Hello All,

Basis : i sold item on ebay. buyer was not happy - said item fake ( it clearly is not ) and ebay awarded them refund. Buyer sent item back and ebay refunded and -£49 in account.
Ebays arranged courier says Delivered - no signature and i have no item !

I went on Paypal yesterday to pay £2 to someone ( yes i removed my card during this ebay dispute )
£2 went through ok, checked bank and saw that £49.00 also went through.

I had NO notification what so ever that "49.00 will also be coming out and have not added , my card.
Their have done this behind the scenes.

I still have no item - and ebay are not listening to me despite many many live chats and emails.

Anything i can do here ? I have lost £49.00 and an item - i am very angry with them

Hello Quasar,

Telephone calls and e-mails are useless for sorting out disputes with e-bay, you will need to make a Formal Complaint preferably to a senior manager/director, this obliges e-bay to investigate and respond to the complaint within 56 days, (response is usually much quicker!).

You can also require your bank to reverse the amount taken by stating that it was not authorised, the bank may try to tell you that it can't be done, just refer the person you speak to their compliance department and the FSA statement.
