My daughter bought some toys from someone advertising them on a local Facebook page as in good working order just in need of new batteries. My daughter had bought off this person before without issue so trusted her word & paid the £20 asking price. Upon immediately purchasing and fitting new batteries my daughter found the toys to be faulty so returned the them to seller within hours of purchase and seller accepted them back agreeing to refund but stated she couldnt give the cash back till following morning. My daughter again trusted her word but later that day the seller emailed her to say she is not refunding after all and now seller has the goods and my daughters money and is refusing to return the £20.
My daughter wants to send a LBA letter but is worried about revealing her own address as she lives alone with her 2year old son and 10day old baby so feels very vunerable and intimidated as seller has been unpleasant. At the moment the seller does not know my daughters address so can I write and send the letter on her behalf from my address or can she write herself and use my address?
I would be grateful for any help.
