Hello, I purchased a replacement bulb for my laptop, off a website based in the uk. The bulb is the wrong size, am I entitled to a refund, they claim because it is a website for trade parts I am classed as an engineer and the distance selling act doesn't apply to trade professionals?

Is the bulb advertised as being suitable for your laptop? If it is then distance selling has got nothing to do with it. It is plain breach of contract.
However, if they allow non trade access to the website for purchases then the distance selling regs still apply as you bought it as a consumer.

The he bulb is sold in different sizes and having measured it, it seemed that it would fit, however it was just slightly bigger than I expected. But they are sold in 4 pre set sizes on the website and it didn't ask me for any kind of proof of trade?
