  • BARCLAYCARD SECTION 75 refused

    DEAR ALL

i'm new to this forum and need help with a recent chargeback request i made to Barclaycard.

Early November we purchased 2 ventilation units to be installed at our property, the company i chose stated that the system will resolve all condesation problems as we were experiencing problems in this area we needed a solution. The website promised a 60 day no quibble money back guarantee, sounded really good so went ahead. After 3 weeks which is the period we were told that all the condensation issues would get resolved the issue was still prominent. The engineers came out and upped the settings. After another month still not the desired results showing i asked for a refund. The company denied this and said the units work fine. To me "No quibble" means exactly that and after a few emails and no refund i took action with Barclaycard, they initially refunded the money but later stated that the merchant bank had denied the request. The merchant sent out a covering letter to their bank and a set of terms and conditions which stated that the installations costs would be deducted from any refund and that they had to be suitably satisfied that the systems do not work.
Now the set of terms and conditions had none of this, these i forwarded to Barclaycard.
Today i receive a call from barclaycard to say that the invoices were not on my name ( my brothers name) so they would not help with a section 75 request. I paid fully for the items on my Barclaycard, and i gave my name when i paid for the goods. Barclaycard said i had to show that the goods benefited me in some way, will if the units are installed at my home address are they not benefiting me?

Do i have any grounds to take this matter further as Barclaycard are not helping

    All help appreciated
