  • Faulty toshiba tv from littlewoods

    Hi everyone

i got a toshiba tv in January 18th 2014 from littlewoods direct
had new speakers fitted with 1month of purchase since then we have had different problems like the tv freezing, smart function stop working and sometime being unresponsive. Spoke to littlewoods and the service man came out and because the fault isn't there all the time the tv would have to good back to the service centre for testing for 3-4 days.

The eh man came on a Wednesday afternoon said that the tv wouldn't be back til the following Wednesday which would of left me and my kids with no tv, as we only have one sound I said he could take it and I would speak to littlewoods.

Anyway after lots of emails littlewoods will not replace a clear faulty tv and are insisting on it being repaired

does anyone know how I stand

    cheers Carl

You have to give them a chance to repair the goods. If the repairs are unsuccessful then write to them rejecting the goods. You will have to mention Sale of Goods but someone will be along with a better definitions

Under the sales of goods act they have to provide one of the following,
      a replacement
      repair
      or refund

i work for a large retailer and when people threaten court, or quote sales of goods act they usually take notice and bend over backwards,

I would be asking what their service level agreement is with toshiba? This is usually how many times they will repair before looking at a replacement and how long they have agreed that is reasonable before an engineer will arrive. This will give you an idea as to how long it will be before you can demand a replacement.

also try calling up and complaining this usually works if your persistent enough and don't give up
The brain is the only thing on earth to have named its self
