Thank you all for your input. I have spoke to trading standards and they said this situation is wrong and regardless of what sports direct are telling me they are responsible and are in breach of their contract. Rang sports direct again an was told there is nothing they can do as the person I spoke to cannot authorise refunds, but gave me an email address for somebody who has the authority to do so. Although at no point have I asked for my money back just for the items I paid for to be sent to myself. I bypassed the email address I was given and emailed the CEO.

I will keep you all updated on the progress.

Excellent - really pleased I was wrong. I understand nothing overrides statute, but I thought if you knowingly sign a contract agreeing to terms and conditions, they were binding. I assume this must be in the Long Distance Selling Regs somewhere - I'd be grateful if anyone can point me at the relevant bit. :beagle:
