Travel insurance query

Hi all

Someone I know is going on holiday to Uganda for a month or so.

They have asked me which travel insurance company is best.

So I thought I'd ask you guys & girls for recommends.

Your views would be much appreciated.

I have always had travel insurance when I have gone abroad but usually google and go for the cheapest tbh.
Not something I would recommend personally as it is a hit'n'miss industry and one where you should read the small print very carefully, I don't practice what I preach on that matter but I would certainly have a good scour through the T&Cs if I were travelling to somewhere like Uganda.

IMO you are best advised to speak to a specialist broker who is a member of British Insurance Brokers Association (no Swintons here )
Go to their website http://www.biba.org.uk/ and you can obtain a list of independent brokers in your area.
Stress to the broker you're looking for cover, not necessarily the cheapest deal, and need to speak to a senior experienced member of staff!
You don't want to end up with a firm like Insureandgo!
