Hi. Wonder if you could tell me what my rights are. I bought a table from littlewoods in may 2012 under the buy now pay 12 months later. About 5 weeks ago the table top came loose. They sent an engineer out to fix it. About 3 weeks later the table top came loose again. I contacted them again and told them it has happened again and that it must be a design fault and I want them to take the table back and credit my account with the monies that I had paid so far for it. The littlewoods rep said that an engineer has to come out twice before they can do that and that if the engineer deemed it a manufacturing fault they would take it back. The engineer came out a second time. I said to the engineer that I think it was a design fault and that I didn't want to keep the table as the warranty is up in a couple of weeks and asked him if it would keep happening and he agreed that it was a fault with the table and probably would keep happening. He took photos of the table and as far as I'm aware made a report to littlewoods about it was a manufacturing fault. I dissembled the table and contacted littlewoods to come and collect it. They still hadn't phoned a couple of days later to arrange collection so I again contacted them. They then said I refused to get it fixed and that the engineer would have to come out again. I explained that the engineer agreed with me and that it would just keep happening. They said the engineers report said I refused a repair. I said I didn't refuse the repair I said the repair was pointless as it would just keep happening. I contacted the independent repair company ecomaster who told me that littlewoods instructed them in an email 2 or 3 days after the engineer had been out that this table is a repair option only. I phoned littlewoods back up and told them that they are forcing the engineer to make a patch up job on my table to save themselves money. I said I wanted a copy of the report and they said I must pay £45. I said to her that what if he repairs it again and in 3 weeks it breaks again it will then be out of its warranty and you will say its out of its warranty and she said yes we probably will say its out of warranty meaning its not there problem. I feel that I have been totally scammed. I wrote to their CEO mark Newton jones and the excellence officer Simon westhead but had no reply.

So have you actually paid for this useless 'table' yet under the 'buy now, pay 12months later' deal?"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Well the Sale Of Goods Act 1979 beats any so called 'manufacturers warranty period'. So send them a letter threatening court action to recover the price of your table plus costs and interest.
