I have recently sent a letter to Vanquis asking them to repay back the PPI that I had on the account which I did not need or what at the time.
The letter was very general and to the point.
I got a response back from them to say that they have listened to the original phone call and do not feel that they miss sold PPI to me. The went on to say that I have the option to taking this to the FOS and included a FOS booklet.
The funny thing is that I have not pursued this up to now as I don't think I will get more that £100 or so back at the very most. It will cost Vanquis £500 if I was going to take this up with the FOS!! Makes no financial sense whatsoever!!
I did cancel the PPI with them within a few months of opening the account and cleared my account swiftly as the APR was outrageous.
Can anyone suggest a 'much more strongly worded letter' to them?
