  • windows 8 upgrade/what a piece of crap

i got an email from microsoft about a special offer on upgrading to windows 8 for £25.
remember i have the latest toshiba laptop i purchased from america last month.

so i download and install, then nothing. the machine just hangs their for about 20 minutes. when it loads and every time i shut down, same again, just hangs their. microsoft is telling me its my AMD processor is the fault and update the driver. i do that and NOTHING. same crap all over again

i am now going to demand my money back as i am sick and tired of microsoft using the general public as guinea pigs.

i am somehow trying to get into control panel to revert back to windows 7, i cant even find contol panel among all this crap

If you select 'help' from the dropdown menu, scroll down to 'about', when you click on that, it 'should' be written on the about info page.

Had same problem with an Acer laptop I reinstalled Win 7 on. Goto Toshiba website and download ALL drivers for the laptop(on another computer and put on disc).Do not let windows try and find them as it will not.
