we recently had a safestyle guy come to our house 22/10/12 he measured up for windows and doors and gave us a price, we signed the contract and have recently had a visit from the surveyor we changed the style of the windows from the original agreement so does this mean we have 7 days from changing our mind? also after researching said company and prices we have decided we dont want them to do any work, if we go by the original date of agreement we are well over our 7 days are we still able to cancel? the £60 is not a problem if we dont get it back.

I believe it's from the signing of the original contract . My memory is that it is to do with whether the change made makes a material difference to the contract . Usually the job ofthe surveyor is to check that what been ordered is both legal and fittable .
