Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. In March last year i took out 3 pet insurance policies with John Lewis. In August this year i found out i was mis sold as i was going to take out a fourth policy. I was initially told the level of cover which is 10k would cover complimentary therapies. It does but only 1k of it does not the full amount that i was told. It has taken from the 16th of August until today for them to find the phone call and agree that although they dont think it was mis sold it could be mis interpreted the way he said it. He asked me what i wanted to do? I don't know to be honest, what should i expect? I don't currently need to claim for complimentary therapy but it may be an option soon if the meds don't help. I told him he was the customer service team so he should be looking to remedy it not ask what i want. He has grudgingly said it may have been a mistake but what am i entitled to?

Re: Mis sold Insurance policies
I have to be honest and say I have no idea what to say except, is there cover that goes to that amount? Is that premium higher than what you pay now? Would you be prepared to stay with them based on that premium? If not then they should cancel the policy without any penalty for doing so, if there is one. If you want or are prepared to pay the premium then there should be no penalty for changing the policy due to the way in which it was sold in the first place.
Had you needed to use the policy and you had out of pocket expenses then that would be the next solution. As there were none then suggest the above. Does that make sense?"Family means that no one gets forgotten or left behind"
