  • Customs and Excise

    Hi All,

Hope this is posted in the right thread - mods please feel free to move it if not!

Two hopefully straightforward questions to which I don't know the answers.

    1. How do you go about getting an affadavit - can it be done free?

    2. Can someone point me to the interest calculator on this site. My wife is reclaiming the sum of just over £58.00 from DWP going back to 2004 and we need to work out the interest at I believe 8%.

    Thanks in advance as always,

    David

    Re: Customs and Excise

If you got to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...odMUcFqQ#step2 then put in the date details and charge amount and it does it automatically. I have done it below based on today's date in 2004

    Charge Amount: £
    When was the charge?
    D: M: 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019

    Interest owed: £
    Total to claim: £
    ------------------------------- merged -------------------------------
Which is £28.65 in interest sorry but the other paste did not work.
