I've joined credit expert on and off for the last few years to check how my credit rating is. They used to just say ok when you asked them to cancel the account, but this time they were desperately almost trying to talk me out of it. Suggesting i could be at risk of this that and the other. Saying "we can mediate between you and any creditor you may have a default with" I felt they were trying to frighten me and now their monthly fee has risen i think it's a bit rich. Aren't they supposed to be the good guys? I am put off rejoining them again when i need to check anything.
Since when did Credit Expert go in for the hard sell?

Just pay the £2.00 ish to see your file as and when you need to, the other way is just a money raking system. Who is paying for the TV ads - must be a good income for them at others expense.Originally posted by GI Jayne View PostI've joined credit expert on and off for the last few years to check how my credit rating is. Statutory credit reports are now available online for £2.
Or should be. Typically Experian had managed to even mess that up a short while ago. :rolleyes2:
So pay then £6.99 a month (or is it more now?), or pay the one off £2 if or when I need it?
Not a difficult choice. They can 'stick' their subscription service.
As for disputing things with creditors............ I'm perfectly capable of doing that myself thankyou.
And I don't roll over and just accept whatever whatever rubbish a creditor tells them is correct, unlike the CRAs.
