Hotel Cancellation Charge:
Please could someone advise me on the following?
My partner has booked a Hotel room in Yorks via the internet/telephone. Her Credit Cards details were given as part of the reservation but no money was taken.
Due to the inclement weather and advice from Motoring organisations we reluctlantly have to postpone the trip to Yorks(it is simply too dangerous)
The Hotel wants to continue to charge for the room as they are stating that the cancellation was made to late. I have stated that the reason for this is the unforceen weather conditions and not change of mind.
They have my partners credit card details. Can anyone advice to where we stand legally with this situation.
Many thanks for reading this.
