  • Advice on how to lodge a LETTER BEFORE ACTION

    Hello
Based on my last question here https://legalbeagles.info/forums/for...er-seen-before

I have drafted my LBA ( Letter Before Action) with the help of AI and weeks of advice. My arguments of law are

    (1) Under the Misrepresentation Act 1967,
    (2) Consumer Rights

    (3) Consumer Protection from unfair trading regulations 2008 (CPRs)

And AI generated a number of examples for me.

    MOVING FORWARD
I am seeking a UK solicitor, anywhere that can help me lodge the LBA and facilitate communications without their hands in my pocket or dribbling me furhter

    Any pointers ? advice ? help ?

    Many thanks
    E

In post #4 on your other thread you mentioned you had already discussed this with a solicitor so why not use them?

The Law Society have a 'find a solicitor' section on their website. Search for 'Consumer and civil rights' and your post code then contact local fims and explain what they want. You can usually check their reputations online. Consumer issues like yours are bread and butter business for most High Street firms so you shouldn't find it hard to find one although that may depend on what you mean by "without their hands in my pocket or dribbling me further". If what you want them to do is just send out your draft letter under their name you might find solicitors are not willing to do that.

Find a Solicitor - The Law Society

In answer to your question on the other thread - "Does this forum have a board of solicitors ? as I would appreciate getting a legal rep to send the letter to both the dealership and finance company" - the answer is no we don't.
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

      thanks for your reply

the solicitor I was using is weird, he keeps insisting. He does not understand my reason for wanting to issue a LBA

      1. He says, He cant explain what I have suffered or quantify my loss ? As I had use to the mis-sold vehicle

      2. He does not understand why I would want to pursue to courts ? As yes, I was lied and deceived into a financial agreement, but at least I got something out of it. Then he goes silent, hence I resorted to asking on here

      3. Mis representation act is not under consumer law and he would only recommend CPRS 2008

Lastly I just spoke to him, and he said he is really struggling and I would need a specialist solicitor.
