  • Missing parcel

    Hi all
On 12/06/2025 apparently two large parcels were delivered to my address. These were never received or signed for.
The seller has supplied a photo of the parcels by my front door as proof of delivery.
Now they want me to contact police for a reference number before they will look into the case.
Ive explained to them how can I report something stolen if I was not in possession of it. I don’t have proof that courier didn’t actually leave the parcels and actually took them away after the photo was taken.

So is it my job to report this to the police? or is it down to the seller to report it?

look forward to your thoughts on this

They were taken from your property, that is what you are reporting. You can report it online. Just do it and things can be progressed. The seller probably needs it to progress his claim against the delivery company.

Does the retailer have a Mediation scheme they belong to?

            Sorry for the late reply.
The seller has now made a full refund. Happy days.
