  • VT'd car where do I stand with this?

    Hi,

I VT'd my vehicle with a letter by recorded post to startline Motor Finance on 14th.

I have received an email stating a recovery company will be in contact with me to arrange collection and as long as it's roadworthy I will not be charged unless they have to send a truck.

I have payed over half off the amount already and never missed any payments but they are basically saying the following....

    "
Please note that any contractual payments that fall due before the car is collected must be paid. Any missed payments that are still outstanding 30 days after the car is collected will automatically be recorded as a default on your credit file."

Surely I shouldn't have to pay anymore now even if it's not collected before my next payment date which is the 26th!

I was just hoping to cancel my DD and be done with it!
    Where do I stand?

    Thank you
