It sounds like you need to go through whatever procedures they have in the German court system. I prosume there is no way to transfer a judgement? Because Germany are in the EU you could look at if judgements are transferable theoughout the EU and do something in the Irish courts, which could be easier with the language barrier.Originally posted by Lord Byron View Post

I have a similar sitation of wanting to start a civil case against Lufthanza. They are registered at Companies house as a "UK Establishment" under "LUFTHANSA GERMAN AIRLINES", with ref: BR000814.
If I put their UK establishment details on the claim form, can I actually do anything if I were to get a judgement?

Maybe someone can answer this then - if a person can enforce a judgment against a European airlines fleet in a uk airport, can they also issue proceedings using the office address of the airline in the uk airport that they fly to/from? CPR does state you can serve any uk address where a business does their business.

Yes; but service of process in compliance with the CPR and enforcement of a judgement are different things.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Getting a county court bailiff to seize an aircraft seems optimistic. Indeed getting a county court bailiff to do anything is optimistic. But please go ahead and try - I will be delighted to be proved wrong.
