    Hi guys and girls.

Not sure where to start it's a bit of a messy one.

I bought a van in 2015 which had numerous faults from the get go. I wanted to hand the van back but fiance company said they won't do anything because the garage are willing to fix it. Went back to garage a few times but eventually blew up on the motorway.
They said because I'd continue driving it it was my fault but it was my work horse I couldn't just not go to work.

Anyway I ended up scrapping the van as they'd washed their hands with me and still expected to pay. Things kicked off as they technically still owned the van and I was quite naive at the time. Cancelled my fiance or what ever the term was because I'd breached and I still refused to pay what was owed.

Few years went past and about 12 months ago I got letters putting pressure on so I made a couple of £200 payments over a couple months.

My question is is me having recently paid X amount has that reset the time statue barred? Or does it still class from default dates etc. I get the odd email every few months but no pressure yet.

    Thanks in advance guys

Can you provide a time line please. Based on what you say, the key question is whether the payments that you made last year were made within 6 years of your default under the finance agreement. It may help if you can give the date of the last payment that you made before the payments last year.
