A delivery van got stuck on an access bridge (that provides access over a stream) to our property and a recovery van then came to retrieve the delivery van - the delivery company had organised the recovery of their vehicle. The weight of the recovery van (that was parked on the access bridge ended up causing damage to our access bridge.
Am I entitled to damages to cover the cost of getting our access bridge back to a good condition? If so, who is the claim against - is it:
a) the company that I had ordered the item from that was being delivered (Amazon),
b) is it the delivery company that was actually delivering the item (a third party delivery company) and who had organised the recovery of its delivery van; or
c) the recovery company that came to retrieve the delivery van?
All advice grateful received.
Thanks
