I brought a car last year on finance. When I got it they had just put through a new mot. It had failed on emissions but then passed. I have just put through mot again and it failed on emissions again. The catalytic converter was so bad it fell apart when replacing. 2 days after I got the car back the engine blew due to low oil pressure. It now needs a new engine. I have had it 11 months. I can’t afford the new engine at just over £2k. I can’t afford the finance repayments as I have to get a new car. Where do I stand as the car isn’t worth anything now? I owe £5300 and have only paid £1900 in my 11 payments.
