  • Problems with Ebay

I purchased goods on Ebay a few days ago.

On Wednesday, I received notification that the goods had been delivered and were left on my front doorstep.

This was alledged to have been delivered at 1.41pm.

    This is the problem.

I was NOT at home when the goods were delivered, I was in a doctors surgery for an appointment.

Secondly, my neighbour was over the road outside cleaning his car at the alledged time of delivery.

He has stated very clearly that nothing was delivered to my address at that time of day.

So I believe the courier has stolen the goods.

The Police have said I need to argue this out with Ebay and ask for strict proof of the parcel being delivered.

My concern is that Ebay might side with the seller who is claiming the parcel was delivered.

Any advice please as the Ebayer is not being helpful and is not cooperating.

You need lodge a complaint with EBay regards 'non delivery of item'.

The courier should provide EBay with a picture of the item outside your door.

Almost all couriers now do this, it's part of their procedure.

How did you pay for the item? Credit Card / Debit Card?

If so you could consider chargeback or Section 75.

It might be worth exploring any CCTV, neighbours etc.

I had a similar event a short time ago again with E Bay, Alleged parcel delivered (I paid with PayPal ), complained to E Bay money paid back instantly, Reason I quoted we have CCTV showing our front door Delivery was by Post Office, and checking deliver time shows parcel was delivered.
